On December 20th we took a day off from boat projects to
enjoy the fresh air and magnificent vistas of Los Altos, a
small community in the mountains east of Puerto La Cruz. The
winding drive toward a higher altitude offered many breathtaking
views of the islands we are hoping to soon visit on the boat.
For lunch we stopped at the Vista Montaña posada and
restaurant. Three hefty boxer dogs and a monkey gave us their
full attention since we were the only diners on the slow week
day. How often do you get to dine with a dog on your feet
and a monkey on your head?
