Fun in Ingleside

With her new name on the stern and a fresh varnish job, Caribbean Soul was tugging on her dock lines and ready to go sailing. For Nick's birthday, we fought our way over to Ingleside against 25-knot head winds and choppy seas. Once inside the cove, we set the hook and celebrated by popping a few tops and doing the jitterbug in our salon. Jan and Terri on Kiva joined us for dinner and birthday cake. Our return trip to Corpus was even more punishing than the previous day, with 30-knot winds and a 3-foot chop on the beam.

The following weekend we sailed back over to Ingleside for the Bahia HeeHee potluck dinner and party. Boats from around the area came together for a terrific evening. Larry Joe Taylor (LJT) provided his usual entertaining combination of music and comedy. We were joined by Bay Yacht Club members Terri and Jan (Kiva), Larry and Carla (Windswept), and Harry and Linda (Cabaret).
