Summer 2006

Filling the Hole in the Water

In response to complaints about not updating our site, here's a short recap of our summer in Saint Augustine: boat chores, boat chores, and more boat chores. As the saying goes, a boat is just a hole (or hull) in the water where you throw your money.

OK, we did take time out for free concerts downtown, jazz on the rooftop at the winery, and getting together with friends. Nick and I made a trip back to Texas to visit our families, while Dakota spent a few days in jail where he had a chance to contemplate how lucky he is to be a yacht dog. We dodged the bullet with Tropical Storm Ernesto, which passed us well offshore. We got just a few dribbles of rain, but the northeast got pounded.
