from the crew of Caribbean Soul
To family and friends we'd like to extend holiday greetings
and wishes for a healthy and happy new year.
The 2007 holiday season finds us still at the Bahia Redonda
Marina in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. After two months in the
boat yard for a paint job and the completion of numerous other
projects, Caribbean Soul is almost ready to sail again.
We're eager to enjoy the beautiful islands and coastal areas
of Venezuela before heading west.
Looking back over our logs for the past year, we're reminded
of the many beautiful places we've visited and the special
friends we've made. This time last year, we had just arrived
in the Bahamas and wondered if we would ever make it all the
way south down the infamous "Thorny Path." Despite
a few bumps in the road that tested our resolve, we completed
our freshman rite of passage in July when we arrived in Venezuela.
At this time of year our thoughts are with the ones we love
who are far away. Until we see you again, we send our heartfelt
wish for your happiness in the upcoming year.
Fair Winds,
Nick, Deanna, and Dakota
